Wages

Salaries are based on the job descriptions. There are three pay scales that could apply. There are WG (Wage Grade), GS (General Schedule) and National Security Personnel System (NSPS) employees. Attached are the pay scales for the following:


Please note that pay is adjusted geographically and the majority of jobs pay a higher salary. Locality payments in the continental U.S. range from 8.64% to 19.04% . Pay rates outside the continental U.S. are 10% to 25% higher. Also, certain hard-to-fill jobs, usually in the scientific, technical, and medical fields, may have higher starting salaries. Vacation Time (Annual Leave)

We offer excellent vacation benefits. Years of Service Leave Earned Per Year:
0-3 yrs = 13 days
3-15 yrs = 20 days
15+ yrs = 26 days

Sick Leave

Our employees earn 13 working days of sick leave per year. Unused sick leave can be carried over to the next year.

Paid Holidays

New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.



Health Insurance

We offer a variety of health benefit plans. We contribute over 70% of the cost. Employees pay their share of the premium through payroll deduction. More information can be found at http://www.opm.gov/insure/health/

Life Insurance

Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS)

The FERS retirement systems provides benefits from three different sources:
  1. Basic Benefits
  2. Social Security System
  3. Government's 401K plan better known as Thrift Saving Plan (TSP)
The Basic Benefit and Social Security elements of the retirement system require a contribution each pay period. The TSP portion of the retirement system is an account automatically established for which we make a contribution equal to 1% of your gross pay each pay period.

Thrift Saving Plan (TSP)

You have the option to make a contribution to the TSP up to $15,500 of your salary. We will match your contribution up to 5%. Additional benefits provided by the TSP are loans and three different investment plan options.
