The Veterans Administration (VA) is a major source from which the veteran can get vocational and educational counseling. A VA counselor can assist the veteran in learning about career opportunities and requirements, training possibilities, sources of financial aid and how to follow through on future plans.

Veterans can now access the following website to obtain their DD-214 more promptly. http://vetrecs.archives.gov/. This website allows veterans to print off the required forms needed to fax in their request for their DD-214. By faxing in the required forms, it will cut down on the waiting time for their request.
