Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS)
The FERS retirement system provides benefits from 3 different sources: 1) Basic Benefits 2) Social Security System, and 3) Government's 401K plan
better known as Thrift Saving Plan (TSP). The Basic Benefit and Social Security elements of the retirement system require a contribution each pay period. The TSP portion
of the retirement system is an account automatically established for which we make a contribution equal to 1% of your gross pay each pay period.
Thrift Saving Plan (TSP)
You have the option to make a contribution to the TSP up to
the IRS limit. We will match your contribution up to 5%. Additional
benefits provided by the TSP are loans and several different investment plan options. More information can be found at

Flexible Spending
Account (FSA)
The
Federal Flexible Spending Accounts Program (FSAFeds)
allows you to pay for certain health and dependent care
expenses with pre-tax dollars. You may choose to make a
voluntary allotment from your salary to your FSAFEDS
account(s). You will not pay employment or income taxes
on your allotments and your employing agency also avoids
paying employment taxes.

The
Federal Long Term Care
Insurance Program (FLTCIP)
provides long term care insurance for Federal employees
and their parents, parents-in-law, stepparents, spouses,

Local
Tinker policy allows employees 3-hours each week for an
exercise program.
